A big congratulations to our Hong Kong office (and friends) as they conquered the Spartan Sprint, raising HK$ 39,041.06 for EducAid. To put this incredible fundraising into context it will provide education, accommodation and care for 14 students from Sierra Leone for an entire year.
Fergus Hardy (front left) explains the challenge "When we registered and signed the event waiver, the far too frequent references to serious injury and death immediately focused our minds. It was as challenging as we expected and ignoring the rope burns and sore backs, working and finishing together as a team made the event an incredible experience.
"It is difficult to explain exactly what we had to tackle as there were over 20 Signature Spartan Obstacles including mud, fire, walls and barbed wire but my biggest memory is that, as a team, we pulled together to support each other through some difficult situations.
"A special mention must also go to Stephanie Lam for her MVP performance on the monkey bars – time stood still for a few seconds as many other teams applauded how effortless she made it look!
"On behalf of the team I would like to thank everyone that has donated and supported both us and EducAid and to be able to fundraise enough money to provide an education to 14 young Sierra Leoneans is an incredible achievement."

If you have not heard of EducAid, it is a UK registered charity that promotes and provides high quality, holistic education to the underprivileged and war affected young people of Sierra Leone. It's a fantastic charity and for every £250 that we raise they will be able to educate, accommodate and care for one student for a whole year.
