Stanton House raise more than £20,000 for EducAid

Posting date: 28 Jan 2019

From climbing mountains to tackling obstacle courses and auctioning their skills off for charity, the Stanton House team has spent another year raising a lot of money for EducAid.

If you haven't heard of EducAid, it's our charity partner that promotes and provides high quality, holistic education to the underprivilidged and war affected young people of Sierra Leone.

£250 will provide education, food and medical care for one child a year and this year the team have raised more than £20,615 - enough to fund the food, schooling and education of 82 children for an entire year or the equivalent of funding the build of a small school in Sierra Leone.

Nick Eaves, Chief Customer Officer was joined by Andrew Brown, Chairman of Stanton House and Erin Northey, CEO of EducAid last week as we presented the charity with a cheque for the yearly fundraising.

Andrew Brown generously matched our £10,000 target pushing us over the £20,000 threshhold for EducAid.

Nick said: "I am very proud of the Stanton House team for their huge efforts last year in raising money for such a brilliant cause.  From Hong Kong to the Yorkshire Peaks, the team pushed themselves to achieve feats of endurance worthy of sponsorship from friends and family — a feat that gets harder every year!  It is a pleasure to contribute to such a life changing outcome for children in Sierra Leone, and to continue to support the wonderful people at EducAid.”
