Role Purpose:

· The Group FP&A manager has full responsibility for the Group budget, forecasting and strategic plan cycles.

· They will own these processes from setting the timetable to drafting the Board Papers.

· The role will tell the story behind the numbers, pulling together decks and presenting at Senior Management level

· They will support Group FP&A in the delivery of monthly management reporting, cash flow forecasting and other adhoc analysis as required.

Key Accountabilities:

The job holder will be accountable for the following main responsibilities:

· Ownership of the planning cycles, consisting of an annual Budget, Strategic Plan and 3 quarterly reforecasts. Responsible for the delivery of the end to end process including setting the timetable, agreeing the scope and deliverables, consolidation of the results at group level, and production of Senior Management and Board presentations

· Responsible for review and challenge of divisional budgets and forecasts to ensure the robustness of the numbers

· Full ownership of the Strategic Planning process and model and its ongoing development as requirements change.

· Own the 'below the line' inputs such as interest and tax, working closely with Group Treasury, Group Tax, and other relevant stakeholders.

· Ensure differences between the Strategic Plan, the Budget and Quarterly Reforecasts are fully documented and understood.

· Work closely with the Group FC, the FD and the Deputy CEO in preparing Board presentations and Board papers for all key set piece planning and forecasting events.

· Support and drive forward improvements to the planning processes and systems to improve the speed and efficiency of the process as well as the transparency of the Nos.

· Support Group FP&A with the delivery of monthly management reporting, cash flow forecasting and weekly performance reporting as required.

· Communicate effectively across the Commercial Finance team to ensure all deadlines are met and all deliverables received.

· Adhoc support to the Group Financial Controller, Finance Director and DCEO as required.

Essential Skills:

Desirable Skills:

· Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)

· Extensive Commercial FP&A experience, ideally gained within a related sector

· Advanced Excel with exceptional analytical skills

· Confident, high-calibre communication skills being able to gain credibility and respect from others

· Ability to engage and present to all levels of stakeholders

· Able to build and deliver high-quality reports for operational and strategic use

· Ability to work within the detail whilst being able to stand back and deliver the bigger picture

· Experience of model building and improvement

· Proficient use of Microsoft Office

· Passionate about driving process improvement

· Hard working and robust to be able to deal with the multiple demands put on you in a high energy commercial role

· Anaplan experience

· Great Plains accounting system experience
