My Stanton House Story: Danielle Strasburger

We love to profile the unique journeys of some of our employees. Every one of their personal successes is an accomplishment for our whole business, and we want to celebrate these. The My Stanton House Story blog series looks at what they’ve learned, why they love what they do, and how they have progressed their careers.

Nine years of support and growth at Stanton House
Joining Stanton House

I started my career at Stanton House nine years ago as an Office Manager, supporting the Reading Office with their office requirements. As the business and team grew, my role evolved into that of Regional Office Manager, where I took on more responsibilities within the wider Operational Support team and managed our Compliance function.

Becoming an Expat and a Business Manager

In 2018, my husband and I had the opportunity to become expats in Belgium. Stanton House was incredibly supportive, and ‘work from home’ became the norm for me, with one week a month spent in the office in the UK. During this time, I was promoted to Business Manager, a role that involved supporting multiple members of the Board and managing numerous events. In 2021, we moved back to the UK, and I was thrilled by the birth of my daughter.

Transitioning to Recruitment

In 2022, after returning from maternity leave, I felt the need to challenge myself further and embrace the growth mindset that Stanton House promotes. Having been familiar with the recruitment side of the business, I decided to try it first hand. With encouragement from the leadership team, I transitioned into the role of Recruitment Consultant in 2023.

Thriving as a Recruitment Consultant

Becoming a recruitment consultant holds a lot of responsibility. We spend so much time at work, and it’s crucial to work with people and businesses that share our goals and ambitions. My aim is to ensure we listen closely to both our candidates and clients to make sure this happens. It’s incredibly rewarding to help people find their dream jobs and achieve work-life balance.

At Stanton House, we focus on building long-term relationships and delivering on our promises, which is evident in our fantastic Net Promotor Score (NPS) of 66%. To put this into context, Global NPS standards classify 50% NPS as excellent and 70% NPS as world-class, so anything over 50% indicates exceptionally high levels of client or candidate satisfaction!

Obtaining and measuring customer satisfaction is really important to Stanton House and great customer feedback for specific individuals is always shared and celebrated across the business. I am really proud of my personal NPS (76% rolling average for the last 6 months) and the feedback I get from the customers I come into contact with.

Celebrating Success and Looking Forward

Learning a new career while juggling family life was challenging, but I am thriving in my new role and enjoying every minute with the support of my fantastic team. Last year I was delighted to win the Newcomer of the Year award and this year I have been promoted to Senior Recruitment Consultant! I look forward to helping more people find their perfect roles and continuing to grow both personally and professionally at Stanton House.

Looking Ahead

Stanton House has been a fantastic place to work, providing a supportive environment through many milestones, including buying our first home, living abroad, having a child, and changing careers. I am excited about what the future holds and grateful for the opportunities and support I have received over the past nine years.
