OVERVIEW

Touchlight was formed from a desire to explore, innovate and develop technologies within the field of DNA research, toward providing the next generation of medicines and therapies to those in need. Touchlight has developed a novel, synthetic DNA vector and enzymatic manufacturing process, which enables them to produce DNA at unprecedented speed, scale and purity. Using their patented enzymatic DNA production platform, they are supporting partners that are advancing genetic medicine.

CONTEXT

Despite the difficult climate, Touchlight grew by almost 50% in 2021. As the economy bounced back their main challenge was being able to find and secure the qualified Finance talent they needed to keep growing. As the number of vacancies across the UK continued to soar, the market became increasingly competitive in 2022. The availability of skilled talent declined, candidates had multiple job opportunities on the table and salaries continued to inflate. Interviewing and onboarding professionals remotely and evolving the culture of the business - in a hybrid
working environment - were key considerations for their hiring process too.

SOLUTION

First, we sought to gain a thorough understanding of their strategic goals, their EVP and the person profile requirements for each role. We brought our expertise to advise on seniority, salary and the types of experience that would provide the best fit. Through the relationships we nurture, we were able
to approach passive candidates with right technical and behavioural competencies needed for each role.

OUTCOME

We were able to support our client in building an effective FP&A muscle that was crucial to support the growth of their business. We ensured their time was well spent by only presenting candidates that would be great for each role. Ultimately, we found and secured the right people, at the right time, in a highly competitive market.

“All candidates spoke about the Stanton House consultant’s excitement and enthusiasm, when talking about our role and business, which is crucial to positively reflect our employer brand and offering in the market.”
