Our client a leading investment company are looking to hire in their data team. The data team is responsible for building and maintaining proprietary systems that span the entire data lifecycle-from ingestion through to financial reporting, deal flow support, and predictive modeling.
They are seeking a Data Scientist to join our data team on an interim basis, with potential for a permanent role. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing large datasets, building predictive models, and communicating insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. A strong analytical mindset and solid statistical grounding are essential. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and common machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, XGBoost, NumPy) is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, deploy, and maintain models to forecast revenues
Identify and evaluate predictive features relevant to forecasting
Collaborate across teams to interpret and communicate results clearly
Build dashboards, visualisations, or other tools to monitor model performance
Write clean, testable, and well-structured code
Contribute to ongoing improvements and innovation within the data platform
Skills and experience needed
Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
4+ years of relevant experience (flexibility for exceptional candidates)
The role is a hybrid working pattern with 3 days expected to be in the office in London.
