Job Title:
Tax Accountant

Tax Accountant required for a global medical technology company based in Reading!

Up to £65,000 + Bonus + Benefits, dependant on experience

Stanton House has been engaged by a US listed medical technology company to support them with the hiring of a Tax Accountant. We are seeking a detail-orientated and motivated individual.

In this role, you will assume responsibility for managing and executing the organisations tax compliance and reporting functions. This position requires you to work closely with various internal departments to ensure accurate and efficient processing of all tax related matters. You will analyse financial data, prepare tax returns, identify opportunities for process improvements and provide expert insights that support the businesses financial goals. The role also involved staying current with tax regulations and implementing necessary changes to ensure ongoing compliance.

To successfully deliver in the profile position, you will need to have:

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Ability to partner with senior management as a tax business partner
  • Proactive in tracking and adapting to changes in tax regulations
  • Ability to build robust and professional relationships
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • US GAAP and UK GAAP experience would be ideal

A little more information about the role:

  • Manage the corporation tax filings, including preparing provisions, group relief matrices and deferred tax calculations
  • Collaborate with the external auditors and advisors to ensure accurate tax input for statutory audits, transfer pricing whilst adhering with guidelines for compliance
  • Review VAT returns, the lead the annual Business Risk Review and maintain the risk and control matrix for the business
  • Ensure timely, accurate tax balance sheet reconciliations, aligning with US GAAP and UK GAAP standards
  • Partner with the UK and European teams on tax related projects, internal recharges and process improvements
