Senior Reporting Accountant

Senior Financial Reporting Accountant required for a leading IT & technology business!

Up to £65,000 - £75,000 (Depending on experience)+ bonus and benefits
 

Stanton House is working with a leading and well know technology and IT business who are looking to hire a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant. This is a hybrid role, 3 days per week spent in the office in Buckinghamshire. The business is currently going through high periods of growth and they pride themselves on their top working culture.

As the Senior Financial Reporting Accountant, you shall work with multiple stakeholder groups including Finance Directors. You shall also play a key role in the financial and management reporting, audit process to deliver strong controls environment. This role has fantastic mapped out progress opportunities and will be getting involved in interesting process improvement and support M&A activity.

Responsibilities shall include but not limited to:

  • Own and evolve technical accounting and reporting for areas such as revenue recognition, IFRS 15, SBP, Consolidation, FX, intercompany.
  • Provide timely and accurate management accounts, financial statements and variance analysis- directly and via members of the team.
  • Ensure readiness and assist in delivering successful HY and YE audits, being a key contact for the auditors.
  • Lead and deliver ad hoc & project-based work.
  • Ownership of assurance and reporting of complex balance sheet reconciliations and key controls for several areas.
  • Identify & deliver continuous improvement in finance processes and reporting.
  • Assist in producing technical papers and reports for Senior Management, including analysis and commentary.
  • Keeping up to date with audit, regulation, and industry developments.
  • Working with the wider business (Sales/Purchasing/Credit Control/Accounts Payable/Credit assessment/Tax) to ensure processes and controls are correct and being applied appropriately.

To be suitable for this role you must have the following:

  • Qualified accountant with proven experience as a credible financial or reporting accountant.
  • Ideally at least 2 years post qualified experience within industry.
  • Qualified with c.2 years PQE in practice or industry.
  • Confident and proactive, professional, approach.
  • Strong technical accounting & analytical skills with the ability to clearly document and convey complex topics.
  • A drive to succeed and progress.
  • Proven ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to motivate others and instil values that align to the highest levels of customer service while maintaining high levels of employee engagement.
  • Ability to present to and influence others, including senior stakeholders.
  • Confident dealing with large datasets and strong MS excel skills.
