Finance Manager

My client are a fast growing biotech company based in Oxford. Established in 2018 they have have experienced rapid growth with revenues of £30 million in 2024. It's instruments have being adopted globally across pharmaceutical and academic research laboratories and they have expanded their presence internationally, including the opening a U.S. headquarters.

They are looking to hire a Finance Manager to join the finance team. This is a hybrid role and is office based Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

You will be reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller; this is a great opportunity to learn and take on more responsibility to enable you to grow in your career in finance.

Responsibilities:

• Coaching, developing and mentoring 2 direct reports
• Assist with preparation and submission of monthly management accounts, including all financial accounting and reconciliation processes
• Monthly reporting of financial results, analysing and communicating variances and providing commentary to support decision making
• Responsible for all payroll activities
• Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Host monthly OPEX reviews with different department heads
• Support key stakeholders with month end
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Other ad hoc activities

Requirements:

• ACA qualified from a top 15 accountancy firm
• 1 years experience working in Industry
• ACCA trained in industry with clear progression
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to be innovative and commercial
• Analytical skill set and ability to identify and communicate underlying financial trends
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
• Excellent operating knowledge of Excel
