Interim Group FP&A Manager

Role Overview

Stanton House is currently recruiting an interim Group FP&A Manager to work for a large and growing PE backed business in central London. The role involves overseeing the company's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis at a group level, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and financial objectives. This individual will provide data-driven insights, strategic recommendations, and decision support to senior leadership while ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Forecasting:

  • Lead the preparation of the group's annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Develop models to project financial performance, analyse variances, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with divisional FP&A teams to consolidate forecasts and ensure consistency across the group.

Performance Management:

  • Analyse financial results, key performance indicators (KPIs), and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly group management reporting packs for the executive team and board.
  • Support decision-making by conducting scenario analyses, benchmarking, and ad hoc financial analyses.

Financial Systems & Processes:

  • Implement and continuously improve group-wide financial planning and reporting tools.
  • Standardise and streamline reporting processes across business units to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Drive automation and digital transformation in financial reporting systems.

Business Partnering:

  • Work closely with business unit leaders, functional heads, and senior stakeholders to provide financial guidance and support.
  • Act as the main point of contact for FP&A-related matters at the group level.
  • Challenge assumptions, promote accountability, and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of industry dynamics, financial modelling, and strategic decision-making.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills, experience with financial planning systems
