Financial Controller opportunity at a large well known organisation in Hampshire!
Up to £80,000 (Depending on experience)+ bonus and benefits
Stanton House is working with a leading and well know business who are looking to hire a Financial Controller. This is a hybrid role, 3 days per week spent in the office in Hampshire. The business is currently going through exciting changes and they pride themselves on their top working culture.
As a Financial Controller, you shall work with multiple stakeholder groups to deliver on accurate financial reporting and ensure a strong controls environment. You shall also play a key role in the audit process and be at the central of process improvement. This role has fantastic mapped out progress opportunities and will be join a great team.
Responsibilities shall include but not limited to:
- Own and evolve technical accounting and reporting for area
- Implement and improve financial controls across group finance
- Lead and deliver ad hoc & accounting project-based work.
- Identify & deliver continuous improvement in finance processes and reporting.
- Assist in producing technical papers and reports for Senior Management, including analysis and commentary.
- Keeping up to date with audit, regulation, and industry developments.
- Working with the wider business to ensure processes and controls are correct and being applied appropriately.
To be suitable for this role you must have the following:
- Qualified accountant with proven experience as a credible financial or reporting accountant.
- Ideally at least 2 years post qualified experience within industry or someone straight from the Big 4 at Audit Manager level.
- Strong understanding of financial control
- Confident and proactive, professional, approach.
- Strong technical accounting & analytical skills with the ability to clearly document and convey complex topics.
- A drive to succeed and progress.
- Proven ability to problem solve.
- Confident dealing with large datasets and strong MS excel skills.
