Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant required for a purpose-driven, science-led global organisation!

£60,000 - £70,000 (DOE) + Bonus and Benefits, dependent on experience

Location: Oxfordshire (Hybrid Working Available)

An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a mission-led, international organisation that's tackling global challenges through groundbreaking biological technologies. This is a fantastic time to join a high-growth, values-led business that's making a real impact on public health and food security across the globe.

This is a key role within a small and collaborative finance team, offering broad exposure across UK, US, and international operations. You'll play a vital role in preparing monthly management accounts, group consolidation, and driving insightful reporting for the wider business.

To successfully deliver in this position, you will need to have:

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA)
  • Experience preparing UK/US management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Previous group consolidation experience
  • Exposure to global businesses, ideally with project and commercial sales accounting
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (Dynamics BC/Navision preferred)
  • A keen eye for process improvement and efficiency in reporting

A little more information about the role:

  • Prepare monthly UK and US management accounts, ensuring accurate reconciliations
  • Produce group consolidation and financial reporting packs, including FX and intercompany adjustments
  • Work closely with FP&A and commercial teams to align revenue recognition and forecasting
  • Lead bi-weekly consolidated cash flow reporting across group entities
  • Process UK payroll and quarterly VAT returns in collaboration with People and external providers
  • Maintain finance systems (ERP, Concur, user accounts) and support on annual audit and statutory reporting
  • Support the Finance Director on ad hoc projects and process improvements
