Overview:

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented TOM (Target Operating Model) Specialist to join a leading client in the construction industry. This role focuses on capturing and documenting the "As-Is" state of our business operations, providing key insights into existing processes, systems, roles, and organisational structures. You will play a critical role in supporting transformation initiatives and shaping the future of our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of current business operations, processes, and capabilities across multiple departments.
  • Document the 'As-Is' state, including process flows, organisational charts, data flows, systems, and governance models.
  • Facilitate workshops and interviews with key stakeholders to gather insights on operational practices.
  • Analyse pain points, inefficiencies, and gaps to lay the foundation for TOM design and transformation.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, process owners, and transformation teams to validate and refine findings.
  • Deliver high-quality outputs such as process maps (e.g., BPMN), capability assessments, and SWOT analyses.
  • Ensure alignment of documentation with the organization's strategic objectives and enterprise architecture.
  • Maintain version control and ensure traceability of 'As-Is' assets throughout the transformation lifecycle.

Required Experience:

  • 4-7+ years of experience in consulting, particularly in TOM design, operating model transformation, or enterprise architecture.
  • Expertise in various components of TOM, including organizational design, governance, process optimization, and enabling technologies.
  • Proven experience in 'As-Is' analysis and business process documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior leadership and C-suite executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
  • Proficiency with tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and diagramming platforms like Visio or Lucidchart.
  • In-depth understanding of strategic frameworks, value chains, and business capability modeling.
  • Experience in managing large-scale transformation projects across various business functions.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to align operational processes with broader business strategy and goals.
  • A proactive, curious, and detail-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation.
