Financial Controller

Financial Controller – PE backed Healthcare Business

£90,000 - £100,000 + bonus and benefits!

Stanton House has been retained by a Private Equity backed healthcare business to appoint a Financial Controller. Having received strong PE investment, the business is now looking for a Financial Controller to help lead the finance team, take charge on process improvement and led transformational activity. The business has also made a number of successful acquisitions making it an exciting time to join.

 

Reporting into the CFO, you will be accountable for the following:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance operations and reporting team (c20 FTEs), ensuring high performance and professional growth.
  • Oversee the AP function to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and resolve any payment-related issues.
  • Oversee the AR function to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections.
  • Develop strategies to minimise outstanding receivables and improve cash flow.
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure sufficient funds are available for operational needs.
  • Oversee banking relationships and optimize banking operations.
  • Oversee the GL accounting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax and treasury regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns.

 

 

To be suitable, you must have the following:

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance operations/controls, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of AP, AR, Treasury, GL Accounting, and Tax Compliance.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proficient in financial software and systems; experience with ERP systems preferred (Microsoft Navision would be desirable but not essential)
