Group FP&A Director

Group FP&A Director being hired for FTSE listed business in London!

£160,000 - £180,000 + Package + Hybrid Working

Stanton House are partnering with a FTSE listed business in London to appoint a Group FP&A Director. The Group FP&A Director will play a critical leadership role in shaping the financial strategy and performance of the organisation. This position is responsible for overseeing the financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis processes across the group, providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership to drive decision-making and optimise financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Planning

  • Lead the annual budgeting and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support strategic decision-making and scenario planning.

Forecasting and Reporting

  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasting processes.
  • Prepare consolidated financial reports and performance analysis for senior leadership and the Board.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and ensure timely identification of trends, risks, and opportunities.

Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand their financial needs and challenges.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve operational and financial performance.

Process Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement best practices in financial planning, analysis, and reporting across the group.

Team Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a key advisor to the CFO and executive leadership team.
  • Communicate financial insights and recommendations effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A professional qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, preferably at Group level within a multinational or complex organisational environment.
  • Proven track record of building, shaping, leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to synthesise complex data into actionable insights.
  • Extensive experience of providing insight decision, working with strategy and commercial teams to drive business performance insight
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting tools, and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • A strategic mindset with a focus on results.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of key financial drivers.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
