Financial Controller

Financial Controller being hired for scale up business in the Information Services sector!

£70,000 - £80,000 + 3 days in the office (London based)

The company is seeking an experienced and proactive Financial Controller to join their dynamic finance team. This is a unique opportunity to lead their financial operations and reporting functions, driving process improvements and strategic decision-making across the business.

As part of this role you will be responsible for:

* Month-End Close & Reporting:

  • Lead the month-end management accounts process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee accruals (sales, cost of sales), supplier prepayments, treasury functions, and foreign exchange management.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and prepare key schedules for Board Packs.

* Commercial & Strategic Support:

  • Assist in budgeting and planning by providing in-depth financial analysis and identifying key performance trends.
  • Collaborate with international partners on tax and accounting issues for international entities.
  • Leverage data analytics tools to extract actionable insights and support business decisions.

* Ad-Hoc Projects & Process Improvement:

  • Lead special projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and financial workflows.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve financial systems, controls, and reporting processes.

To be successful in this role, you need to have:

* A Finance qualification or equivalent (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) qualification (or equivalent) with post-qualification experience in a financial reporting or accounting role

* Experience of working for an SME or scale up would be advantageous

* Strong understanding of financial accounting, reporting, and forecasting with excellent attention to detail

* Proven capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

* Proficiency in financial software and data analytics tools

* Outstanding communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial information for non-financial stakeholders.
