Finance Data Analyst

As a Finance Data Analyst, you will work closely with the Head of Financial Systems to ensure the smooth operation of the company's financial systems and applications. You will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of financial processes and data management systems that help the business run efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the business in translating complex business requirements into technical specifications through interviews, workshops, and workflow analysis, ensuring alignment with user goals.
• Recommend and develop technical improvements, reports, and dashboards that enhance the quality and performance of financial systems, focusing on delivering actionable data insights.
• Support the Head of Financial Systems in the timely delivery of system updates and enhancements, ensuring that data-related projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality expectations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to design and maintain data flows between financial systems and business applications, ensuring seamless integration and accessibility.
• Analyse large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimisation, turning raw data into meaningful and actionable business insights.
• Create and maintain PowerBI reports and dashboards to visualise key financial data, empowering stakeholders with real-time, data-driven insights.
• Continuously review existing data systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement, driving data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Monitor and maintain data integrity across systems, ensuring that accurate and reliable data is available for reporting and decision-making purposes.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience with financial systems, including an EPM platform (e.g., JD Edwards, Planful, or similar).
• Experience with PowerBI, including the ability to design and deliver effective data visualisations and reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
• In-depth understanding of data flows and integrations across financial systems and business applications.
• Proven ability to manage, manipulate, and analyse large datasets to drive business decision-making.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
