Job Title: Interim Data & MI Lead (HR Function)
Day Rate: £400 - £600 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract Type: 3 months Contract initially
Location: Liverpool preferred; also open to candidates based in Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, or London
Working Pattern: Hybrid (approx. 2 days in-office per week; flexible based on effectiveness)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Interim Data & Management Information (MI) Lead to support the People (HR) function of a leading financial services organisation following a recent merger. This is a critical interim role created due to the absence of the current lead, with an immediate need to stabilise and advance HR data capabilities across the newly combined business of 3,500 employees.

The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing robust people data reporting processes, including dashboards, scorecards, and business-critical MI, following the organization's transition to a unified payroll and HR system (SAP SuccessFactors)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of HR-specific data reporting and MI across the combined business
  • Build and standardize regular people metrics reports (monthly/quarterly cycles), including key KPIs such as headcount, attrition, absence, and cost of absence
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards tailored to the needs of HR and senior leadership
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across HR, Systems & Data, and Tech & Change to ensure alignment on data definitions and usage
  • Support change and transformation initiatives by providing actionable insights from people data
  • Ensure data accuracy, quality, and governance in all reporting outputs

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in HR data and MI roles, preferably in large or complex organisations
  • Strong Power BI skills with a track record of building automated dashboards and visual reports
  • Understanding of key people metrics and how they impact business performance
  • Familiarity with HR systems (experience with SAP SuccessFactors desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to work independently and navigate a matrixed environment
  • Experience in financial services or wealth management is preferred but not required
  • Comfortable managing regular reporting cycles and ad hoc requests
