Application Analyst

Job Title: Interim Application Analyst
Day Rate: £500 - £650 per day (outside IR35)
Contract Type: 4 months Contract initially
Location: Remote (the business has office in London)

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Application Analyst to join a dynamic IT team of a leading business in construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing our software applications to ensure uninterrupted business operations. This role involves close collaboration with developers and IT teams to address issues, implement updates, and maintain data security.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain software applications to support business processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Coordinate and execute upgrades and patches to applications, ensuring compliance with best practices.
• Ensure data security by implementing cybersecurity measures and protocols.
• Provide user support and training to enhance software utilization.
• Monitor application performance and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with developers and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of applications.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of application configurations and processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software application support and IT systems.
• Desirable experience with D365 Business Central.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in database management and query languages.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
• Certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, CompTIA Security+, Certified Scrum Master, Oracle or SQL Database Certifications are preferred.
