Job Title:
FP&A Director

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented FP&A Director for a 4-month interim assignment with a fast-growing £30m PE-Backed SaaS business. This role is focused on supporting the company’s exit process, working closely with senior leadership, and liaising with potential buyers. You will play a critical role in ensuring the business is well-prepared for the exit by delivering key financial insights, board-level presentations, and detailed financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exit Process Support: Provide assurance and clarity to management and external parties during the exit process by managing detailed financial queries with confidence.
  • Board Pack Preparation: Compile and present high-quality financial reports and board packs, ensuring clarity and accuracy for key stakeholders.
  • Rolling Forecasts: Lead the preparation and maintenance of rolling forecasts, adjusting assumptions as necessary to reflect the evolving business landscape.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with senior leadership, key departments, and external advisors to provide strategic financial insights that inform decision-making during the exit process.
  • Due Diligence Liaison: Work closely with due diligence providers, ensuring they have the necessary financial data and responding to their queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Financial Presentations: Create compelling, data-driven presentations for internal and external audiences, including investors, management, and potential buyers.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Interrogate complex financial data, identify key trends, and deliver actionable insights to senior management.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: Proven track record as an FP&A professional, ideally within the SaaS sector or other fast-growing businesses. Experience supporting exit processes and working with due diligence teams is essential.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail. Highly proficient in financial modelling, rolling forecasts, and board-level presentations.
  • System: Salesforce and NetSuite
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex financial data clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders. Experience creating persuasive and insightful presentations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Comfortable working with senior leadership, external advisors, and investors to support business objectives during high-stakes processes such as exits or M&A.
  • Confidence & Professionalism: Ability to handle detailed financial queries with confidence and provide reassurance to stakeholders throughout the exit process.
